Health First Colorado offers health coverage to nearly 60 million children, families, pregnant women, the elderly and people with disabilities around the country. It covers US citizens and also eligible immigrants.


What Does Health First Colorado Cost?

If you qualify for Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program), you will have either no expenses or small co-pays for the care you receive, depending on your circumstances.

Here’s how it works:

  • There are no enrollment fees for Health First Colorado
  • Children 18 and under have no co-pays for any services
  • Pregnant women (any age) have no co-pays for any services
  • Persons 19 and over have small co-pays for doctor visits, prescription drugs, laboratory tests, durable medical equipment and hospital stays.

Transportation Services

People on Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program)  in Colorado are also eligible for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation services to medical appointments.
