New Continuous Eligibility for Medicaid and CHP+

Beginning March 1, 2014, all children ages 0-19 enrolled in Colorado’s Medicaid and CHP+ programs will have one year of continuous eligibility.

What does this mean for you? It means that once your child is enrolled in Medicaid, your child will have guaranteed coverage for 12 months, regardless of any income or household size change.

This is great news, especially for those that were right on the “line” between Medicaid and CHP+. There won’t be any more back and forth between Medicaid and CHP+ during the 12 months of eligibility that can happen when a family’s income might change from month to month.

If you have any questions regarding continuous eligibility, or any other questions about your children’s Medicaid, please call our office at 719-557-5886 and ask to speak to a Family Health Coordinator.
