If you or someone in your family needs health care and doesn’t have much money to pay a monthly insurance premium, we may be able to help.
Our team helps families determine whether they are eligible for Colorado health programs. If you are, we can enroll you.
Once you’re enrolled we can also help you find the right health care providers and make sure you get the care you need, through our Healthy Communities program.
Here are the different ways we can enroll people in health programs:
Pueblo StepUp is an official Colorado Medical Assistance (MA) site. That means we can enroll people in health programs and issue immediate, permanent medical benefits if they have adequately demonstrated that they are eligible.
We are also a state-designated Presumptive Eligibility (PE) site. As a PE site, we can enroll children and pregnant women in CHP+ or Medicaid on a temporary basis until their application is complete and approved for permanent benefits.
With benefits, these newly insured people can receive the immediate medical care they need and their health care providers can be sure they will get paid.
We provide enrollment services for:
- St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center
- Parkview Medical Center
- Pueblo Community Health Center
- Southern Colorado Family Medicine
- Both Pueblo School Districts
We also receive client referrals from entities in the City and County, all of which often treat uninsured patients and then struggle to receive reimbursement for treatment.
Many of our client referrals come from:
- Pueblo City/County Health Department’s WIC Program
- Planned Parenthood
- Caring Pregnancy Center
- Child care centers
